HD Extender Default aspect ratio setting in 6.3.6 not working

Maybe I set it up wrong, but I put it in both the client's properties files (with the macaddress.properties) and in the sage.properties file with the service turned off. I then restarted the service and the extender, but the setting doesn't work.

The setting I used was to add the

Extender Updates

3. Added UI specific property: default_advanced_aspect_ratio which allows setting the default aspect ratio on the STX-HD100

and set it =fill. Am I missing something?

It's probably a case sensitive setting. Try:

default_advanced_aspect_ratio=Fill

I tried that too and it did something, but not what I expected. With Fill it still has the black bars on the sides, but hitting the Aspect Ratio toggle doesn't move to Fill next like it did with the old version. Is there maybe a one off problem? Which properties file does it belong in?

I don't know if this is the same issue but I was watching a MPEG4 video and although I had it set to Source, it displayed as 4:3 until I forced it to 16:9 with 6.3.6.

I'm trying this on 6.3.7 and it still doesn't seem to work. At least now I know that it goes in the client's properties. I still don't know what the valid settings are and/or the syntax.

I downloaded the beta firmware and it works great. Thanks for keeping at it until it works.
