Talking Remove photo/video thumbnails from Import folder (files no longer exist)

Odd question.

I added an import directory which pointed a SD card with photos/videos. I have viewed them and removed the SD card - but all the thumbnails still remain.

Is there an easy way to remove these?

Just removing the media doesn't delete the database entries. It keeps them around by design in case you reload the media later. To remove the entries, you have to show it a card with that same drive letter that doesn't have those files on it. Then it will believe the files have actually been deleted and remove the DB entries. (You may have to Refresh Imported Media with the empty card in place.)

Note that you can use Browse Media Files to look at files without adding them to the Sage import DB.

Ok I knew that feature existed (keeping them around), and I agree it's a very nice feature to keep them around! I just wasn't sure how to remove them

THanks, I'll give it a shot!

I beliebe you can just "rescan import directories" as well, and Sage will update itself. I had a similiar issue when I renamed some items, and they got out of whack. A rescan fixed everything...

Yeah I've tried this a few times - and no luck the thumbnails are still there - videos & photos.

Make sure you go back out of that directory after you rescan, then go back in. Say go to the home screen, then back to videos. It caches everything that is in the current view I believe so a rescan doesn't reload the cache.
