ATI cloned TV out theater mode / full screen doesn't work for me

I'm using an ATI Radeon 7500 with the Catalyst driver version 3.4 on SageTVClient on Win2k server.

I've set the video to "Overlay' in Detailed Setup.

On the ATI side, I've configured TV Out as a secondary/cloned display, and I've set the overlay to "theater mode / full screen".

At one point this worked, which is to say that video playback was windowed on my VGA monitor and displayed full screen on the TV.

And then I started getting overlay errors from SageTV. I mucked around with things and ended up setting the settings back to the above, restarted, and now I cannot get the overlay to be full screen on my TV.

Zoomplayer is obeying the full screen setting. SageTV isn't.

Anybody have any ideas?
