Dish and Bev EPG?
How can I combine Dish and Bev EPG info into the same screen? Is it possible?
On my VS Ultra, It automatically adds a 2 in front of the channels so they do not confilct with my Dish channles. How do I do that in SageTV? I am using the DVBdream plugin. |

Anyone? I am trying to use both BEV and Dish, but how do I separate the channels and EPG info?

The only solution is you'll have to manually edit every single channel "Map to a different Physical Channel #" in the channel setup, there's no way to do a mass update that I know of.
I have done this with my HD OTA channels for my HDHomeRun

How do I get the info for BEV into the EPG? Can I get both Dish and BEV at the same time on EPG?

I'm not sure to be honest, you'd have to install the trial version.

Connect the satellite receiver to the turner card twice. Once via S-video and also via RF channel 3. Confirm that you're getting a clear signal on both inputs on the tuner in Sage. Assuming you are, now you should be able to configure two lineups for your receiver - one for Dish and one for BEV. Associate one with S-video and the other lineup with RF channel 3. Which ever one you associate with BEV go to the IR options and add a precommand of '2' so it sends 2 before each channel number. Of course, you'll only be able to record Dish or BEV, but not both simultaneously, but I don't think that's even an issue with your required setup. I'd be curious to know if this actually works for you. |

I have dish and directv and merged the EPG info without issue. I have one tuner for the dish... set that up and it gets the proper guide info. I set up the other tuner for directv and it also got the proper guide info. I just did a test for you and made the dish one into BEV and it worked the same.
The thing is that it completely merges the guides... so you have 2 channel 250s. It just says... channel 250 showing blah blah blah... and then below it is another channel 250 showing blah blah blah. You select what you want to watch, and it grabs the right one. I actually would like to figure a way to seperate them better. Idealy, I would like to add 1000 to one of the EPG info for one of the tuners. So dtv would be on channels 1 - 1000 and dish would be on channels 1000 - 2000. If that isn't possible, then it would be nice to at least color code them in the guide so the dtv channels are in blue and dish in red. Anyone know how to do that? While posting.. the other thing I do not like is that it will only show one CNN and when you pick it, it selects which service to use. Is it possible to disable this? I want to see both CNNs and pick which one I want to use. The other horrible aspect of this is that some of the channels (PPV / adult) have the same name and it maps all of them to a single channel (in spite of having different programming) and will not let you select another channel. I can accept that I can't get the guide information... but I want to be able to select any of the specific channels. How? For example, I want to purchase a movie on channel 101, but my guide only shows channel 100. I put it on channel 100, and then use my satellite remote to switch to channel 101 and purchase it. Some time later, perhaps I want to pause that movie and check something on my other tuner... no problem, I can do that through sage. However, to go back, I can now only pick channel 100 and blah blah blah... very annoying. I want to see on my guide channels 100-130 PPV and be able to pick the right one directly. |

Is there anyway at all to edit a lineup via the Sage.properties file? I can find the channel listing under the encoder section in the file, but can make no sense of it. This is starting to become a big issue for me, the EPG info needs to be stored differently and should be available for edit outside of sage.
