I was having the same black screen issue as described in this thread. It only happened on my HD Extender, and only with Digital Cable channels from my HDHR, not the QAM HD channels. I tried the TSSplitter.ax file, and this brought sound and video back to my extender when tuning in digital cable shows however the audio clips and cuts out every other second. Is there any more information about how to fix this problem? THe WAF is going down rather quickly.

Please advise!

What firmware version are you using on the HDx? I am confused by " not the QAM HD channels", the HDHR only uses clear QAM or OTA.

Carlgar, I mean that it is the Digital Cable channels coming over clear QAM, not the HD ones, sorry for the confusion. I have only updated the HDx's Firmware once, so it is running the initial firmware update that was recomended as the first step after purchase. I have been hesitant to update the firmware since people were having issues with them. Do you think this could be the issue? and If not, is it easy to back out and flash backwards to older firmware?

I would recommend you update to the current firmware 20080204 0. AFAIK it fixes all known issues. There is a procedure posted software about how to go back to a previous version. See http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...1&postcount=17 about hot to return to a previous version. I have never had to go backward.

Carlgar, just wanted to post an update. The flash to the latest firmware seems to have done the trick, no more black screen for me! Thanks!
