Multiple copies of songs
I finally added the directory where all my CD music is located in subdirectories... and ended up with multiple copies of each song for each album in Sage 2. I never tried this in version 1.4, so I don't know if this is a new problem or something old... comments from those of you who used Sage 1.4 for your music files?

Try importing your library again by removing the import directory and restarting SageTV and then add the directory again.

If I understand correctly, you meant to:
1) Remove the Import Directory from SageTV's listing of such directories. 2) Completely close SageTV, _not_ simply putting it to sleep. 3) Restart SageTV 4) Add the base music directory back in as an import dir. That's what I just did -- each song on an album seems to be listed twice, as if the directory were searched twice. I have a base "Media" dir where I store all CDs in subdirectories. The CDs are ripped with MS Media Player 9, using an mp3 plugin. If this should work, I'll bug it. If I'm not settings things up correctly for music files, I'll try again using another suggestion. I see that others are getting their songs recognized correctly... how are you managing that? - Andy |

One thing that I've noticed is that Sage especially likes songs that were ripped with Music Match. I ripped my entire collection using the LAME encoder and Sage thought all of the track times were double what they actually were...even though NO other media playing software did this, I gave up and I've started re-ripping my entire collection with Music Match...and it sux
