Sorry Dirk. NetFlix takes full advantage of DRM protection.

Yeah, I already had a feeling that would have been too good to be true...

When I'm browsing the WatchNow movies, I hit search to see if there is a movie that I want to WatchNow, but it appears that the search looks at the DVD collections and not WatchNow.
Is there a way to only search WatchNow? |

Not in the current release, but that will be possible in the next release I believe.

I only have 3 movies in my queue. But for me, I dont think my queue ever updates... not even if I wait a long time. This used to work for me.
I just replaced all the files from latest netflix addon.. still same thing. Quote:

So sorry if this is a really stoopid question (or to minimize the hard work put into this package), but:
If I can't play the NetFlix WatchItNow on my Media Extender, what is the main benefit of using NetFlix for SageMC? I mean, I can just start up NetFlix on my main PC and do just about anything I need to do with NetFlix, can't I? I'm probably missing something important here ... |

And if you have all HD Extenders or MVPs you can still browse your netflix queue, browse and search the netflix library and watch movie previews. Certainly not as nice as having watch-now, but still valuable imo. I hope eventually it will have support for the extenders too. |

I broke the "Watch it now" menu
I did have the Watch it now feature working perfectly but it broke about a week ago, I don't get any movies to select when I go to that menu. I started a fresh copy of the SageMC.xml and re-imported my plugins (starting with Netflix) but the same problem exists. I've checked my username, password and Netflix ID, none of these have changed.
I can check my Queue and other RSS feeds from Netflix OK, I can also search for movies. It just seems to be the watch it now that is broken. The other plugins I'm using are Video Edit, Video Tools and Slimplayer. I think the problem occured after I installed Video Edit. It had outdated .jar files for SageMC which I had to delete and replace with the new ones to avoid getting an error message for having the old files. I can't see why this would cause an issue though. Any ideas? |

Richard-
Not your fault. I've been struggling with this all day. It appears to be (may be?) a parsing problem (though no guarantees). The debugger shows a problem trying to access the RSS from http://www.netflix.com/Top25RSS?gid=2442, which doesn't exist (according to the Netflix site). org.gnu.stealthp.rsslib.RSSException: RSSParser::setXmlResource fails: http://www.netflix.com/Top25RSS?gid=2442 at org.gnu.stealthp.rsslib.RSSParser.setXmlResource(RSSParser.java:75) at org.gnu.stealthp.rsslib.RSSParser.parseXmlFile(RSSParser.java:112) at org.gnu.dwarf.sage.netflix.channel.ChannelManager.refreshChannel(ChannelManager.java:82) at org.gnu.dwarf.sage.netflix.channel.Channel.handleExpiration(Channel.java:133) at org.gnu.dwarf.sage.netflix.channel.ChannelDaemon.run(ChannelDaemon.java:41) appears (with some other errors) whenever I try to browse "Watch it Now," and I get an error popup in Sage that says: Parsing error: No expression entered Expression: I'll keep you posted if I figure it out; please do the same. jpw |

Here is some of what I'm getting from the debug console:
This makes me wonder if I have a Java version problem: Sun 5/4 18:38:11.667 EXCEPTION in getValueAsObject:sage.a.e: Error in method reflection of org_gnu_dwarf_sage_netflix_channel_ChannelManager_fullRefresh of java .lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException forrg_gnu_dwarf_sage_netflix_channel_ChannelManager_fullRefresh() Sun 5/4 18:38:11.667 sage.a.e: Error in method reflection of org_gnu_dwarf_sage_netflix_channel_ChannelManager_fullRefresh of java.lang.reflect.InvocationTarget ExceptionSun 5/4 18:38:11.667 at sage.e$d.a(Unknown Source) And when I press the "Browse Watch Now Titles" button on the Netflix menu I get this: Sun 5/4 18:38:22.629 setUI(sage.b1@a48d59[NetFlix Browse Genre]) histIdx=2 uiHistory=[sage.b1@1aec43[Dynamic Menu by nielm], sage.b1@4eaf47[NetFlix Main Menu],sage.b1@a48d59[NetFlix Browse Genre]] Sun 5/4 18:38:22.630 Parsing Error: No expression entered Expression: |

Looks like a parsing update may have to be made. I'll try to have a closer look tomorrow.

I am having an issue with the Netflix plugin. I have setup my id and username/password. However it never shows my queue. I triple check my ID, and I am using the username and password that logs me into my account. The username is my email address, however I think Netflix has some other cryptic username for me.
Question I have is their a parsing issue causing this or should I continue to figure out if I am using the wrong numbers? |

My queue has continued to work even with the parsing issues. Double-check your password and the ID number you're using for the queue. Email address is mandatory for the sign in name.

Ok I figured out where my issue was. The ID field in the rss field is as such id=Pxxxx
You do not include the P in the setting for netflix. |

Browse All, Browse WatchNow completely stopped working.
Browse All, Browse WatchNow completely stopped working. Did this happen to everyone? Is this a change that was made on Netflix's site which caused this feature to break?
