Video Formats, iTunes, & Amazon Unbox

I am looking to drop my satellite service and go HTPC & Media Extender only at my house. I get all my locals OTA. I also access content via iTunes & Amazon Unbox. I guess I am a little confused about whether or not the downloaded content (unbox, itunes) can be viewed over the Sage HD Media Extender.

Does anyone have any experience with these two download services and Sage? I already have a HTPC that is powerful enough to serve HD content. I plan to upgrade to a gigabit router if I go the HD Media extender route.

I have seen the list of audio and video formats the Sage HD media extender can play, but I didn't know how that related to downloaded content from the services mentioned. If I can't play these formats, I may have to just purchase another HTPC for my second TV rather than a Sage HD Media Extender. Is there another media extender I should be looking at if the Sage unit doesn't do what I am asking about?

I don't believe so, I believe both of those services use DRM which requires them to be played on the PC they were purchased on.

Is there another media extender I should be looking at if the Sage unit doesn't do what I am asking about?

The Apple TV (take 2) would be the only "extender" type device that can play any DRM'd media that I'm aware of (and then only from iTunes of course).
