Tiff Photo files importing as videos?

For some reason, when I'm importing my media directories I sometimes get a pile of .tiff files imported as videos. The strangest thing is these .tiff files aren't in a video directory, they are in a photo directory.

Is there a way to prevent this?

Your best bet is to file a bug report & save an example file to send if they need it.

Brent,

I have noticed this too. It might be showing up as a video if it is in your PSE catalog since my PSE add-on imports all files in the catalog regardless of where they are located. It appears that Sage cannot recognize the .tiff file so it classifies it as a video. In Sage.properties there is a list of photo file types. I wonder if we just added .tiff to this list it would handle them properly (although it might be too late if the media type is stored in the database during import)?

Ahh. That makes a lot of sense Craig because I noticed this just after I installed the PSE plug-in. I'll do some more tinkering around to be sure.
