# of key presses to watch a show

Is there another way to start a show other than hitting select three times? Right now I have to go into my show listing, hit select to start previewing the show, hit select again to go to the details, and hit select again on Watch Now. Is there a "Watch Now" key?

If not, how about letting us just hit Play on either the program listing or program detail screen to start the show??

well... you can skip that first 'select' to start previewing, but there doesn't seem to be a way yet to go straight to playback from the recording list screen.

That's one 'advantage' to not having the OSD on the xcard yet... I can simply watch the preview & leave it there. I can't change the volume there, but I can pause, ff, etc.

Personally, I liked the snapstream method for handling shows using the program guide. You click it once, a popup window appears giving you the option to watch, record, view future shows, etc...

For sage, one click could take you to that detail page with the preview and other options.

I forgot to say that I agree with the first comment -- pressing "play" on the remote ought to simply start playback of the highlighted show. I don't know how many times I tried doing that in v1.4... and then had to remember why nothing happened.
