Beginner question yet again.

Can I watch a recorded program using the HD100 when recording another show?

You are limited to 6 independent streams. If you have 6 tuners then all 6 can be live or any combination of live/recorded.

Would you mind explaining what you are referring to? I'm not aware of a built-in limit in SageTV, other than what your PC can handle.

As I understand retail customers are limited to 5 clients plus the client that comes with the server. So 6 total outputs, if this is not accurate I will be happy! IMHO 5 is too low considering the commercial license seat cost.

I had never heard of this, so I asked SageTV. They had never heard of it either, so we don't know where that info came from. If you have some sort of email or link to info like this from SageTV, please let me know.

I can tell you this is definately not true! As Opus has already stated. When I was converting over to HD100's, I had 2 MVP's, 2 HD100's, and 2 full clients....I should have tried a placeshifter on my laptop just for the heck of it but I didn't. Now most werent playing videos (I think I was only watching tv thru 2), but still you can definately have more than 5 clients!

I am now back to only 2 clients...it is toally enough.
