Minor issues with video library

I am a new user of SageTV and overall and enjoying it immensely. I have two minor issues nagging me right now both related to watching ripped dvds.

First:
Cover art images load a bit slowly. I use SageMC (Foofaraw theme) with a 2 row x 3 column format so that six cover art images are on the screen at a time. As I scroll down the list each row takes a bit under a second for each row to load in its images. Once they are loaded in the first time I can scroll up or down and they pop in immediately. However, when I leave the video menu (to go to TV or music for example) and come back in, the images will again load slowly. Is there anything I can do to speed up the loading?

Note: each DVD cover image is approximately 40-60 kb

Second:
When watching a DVD and returning to the My Videos menu, there is a small window on the lower left on the menu screen that shows the movie currently playing. For some reason, this currently playing video does not shrink to match the small window (like it does for TV for example). Instead, I can only see rough 3x3 inch portion of the currently playing DVD. Is there a fix for this?

Thanks,
Nutball

Make sure you updated the firmware on the extender. There was a fix for slow thumbnails pushed in one of the latest updates. I believe you also have to have the latest SageTV installed on the client also. It may have been the latest version that had this fix. Also make sure you have the latest java installed.

Sorry I can't help with the second issue.
