Slow Channel Change

Hi

When I change the channel on my cable box it takes quite a few seconds before it changes in (much slower than if i'm watching through standard tv)

Is there any way to speed this up?

Probably not... Sage needs to buffer data after your STB changes the channel, so I'd expect it to take a few seconds longer than the STB.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I am having the same problem. I have my STB connected to the SVideo input and I am using IR to change the channels. When changing the channel the playback will pause for about 1 second and then the same channels starts playing again for another second or two before I see that the channel is starting to change (from the OSD on the STB). I can understand that Sage needs to buffer but why is Sage showing the same channel before even starting to change the channel?
