usb-uirt maxes out my cpu

Any ideas? i set-up my usb-uirt to control my stb and it works fine with the stb remote. When i go into sagetv and try and configure sage so it will work with my stb, it maxes out my cpu...? As soon as i pick "usb-uirt and any remote" my cpu maxes out and it takes a while to get back and un-select the choice. Any other selection does not affect the cpu. At this point Sagetv does not "correctly" change the channel within the program. When i use the remote, the changes work great. So I know i configured usb-uirt correclty or my stb would not change. I am using 2 hvr 1600. CPU-AMD dual core 5600. 4 gigs corsair memory. windows xp. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Can't tell you what the cause is but I had the exact problem. Usually when restarting Sage it would max CPU to 100%. I similarly have 2 Hauppage 1600's for 2 STB's. Removing the USB-UIRT allowed Sage to start, then had to plug the UIRT back in.

Guessing it was a driver conflict from something else I had installed I decided to start over with a fresh rebuild from a fresh XP sp2 install. Followed the directions more carefully and didn't add anything other than the necessary drivers. That solved the problem, plus everything is running much better.

It's painful but worked out this time.

Are you running Sage in Service mode? If so have the service login as the same user you use for the GUI!
