m4v tags in SageMC
My entire movie collection is done as m4v, and SageMC does a few things automatically that are great, but I'd love to figure out how to do more with the tags that are already in the files. I've used iTunes to load all my videos as they are then available in my iPhone/iPod and all that as well.
When Sage sees the video files, it recognizes the artist tag, which I have as the actors in the movie, and the name tag, which is just the name of the movie. I'd like to take advantage of the description tag, the image tag, and the director, if at all possible. This way all the information is available and it's custom to how I've organized my media. This will essentially eliminate my AppleTV's functionality except for rentals and DRM content, which I'm more or less migrating away from as well.
Also, all my files are in one big folder, so I can't exactly create a folder.jpg and have that load an image, unless there is another way to tackle it. I currently have 500 movies in the system, all tagged how I would like to, so some changes can be time consuming. I have a script that will extract the artwork from the movies and place them in the same folder with the exact same filename.jpg, will that solve that issue?
Is there a way to create a database with the description info so that Sage displays that information while browsing?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Jrog
