This did not fix my time line issues. However, I'm only seeing them on CBS, not the other stations and it does not matter which tuner is used.

Since installing 6.4.2 even with the two updates posted I have had almost every HD recording from ABC need to have quickstream fixes run in VideoReDo due to problems with the recordings. This happens with both the HDHR and the HVR-1600. This is with playback on my client machine. I haven't tested these recordings on my HD100

same as above. the two updated tsspliter.ax files and the latest beta and I recorded CSI on CBS, using my fusion card and It scrolled right through the hour long show in 90 seconds and stop and it's 8.3 gig big ! The recording is total useless in my stx and even using WMP11.0.

So far all recordings (2 with the HVR1600 1 with Avermedia A180) from CBS are bad, NBC is fine. I'm not sure whats up with CBS but it is not good. Quickstreamfix does fix them for me. |

There's another thread where Opus4 announces that the updates have been updated.

I post here when there is an update of this file for everyone to try & haven't posted a new one since 5-13. If there is a newer one somewhere, it was probably sent directly to testers.

i'll chime in with more timeline problems *after* the updated file.
ABC is horrible (again) for me, but i blame it on my affiliate, as they change stuff all the time, and when it doesnt work on Sage it typically doesnt work on my set top ATSC tuner either. But CBS and NBC which are *always* rock solid for me have had timeline issues on almost every show recorded since the updated file (it happens on any of the 4 tuners in my HDHRs)

The updated file (second one the Opus4 posted) has been rock solid for me.
Just to make it very clear - Andy posted the updated file twice. So if you are having trouble make sure you put the latest one in! btl.

Lately I've been having problems recording QAM stuff but I'm not entirely sure it's not due to a poor cable signal. I have a CATV amp but I'm not sure it's doing that great of a job. I have my HDHR and STB hooked to it. The STB sometimes can't get a good enough signal to display a picture. It might just be that the amp can't get a good enough signal to amp.

Yeah, i had the old file. new one is worse though - every channel, at about the 5 minute mark, will have the video stop but the audio keep going.

I would have to say that something is busted for recording in the beta.
I upgraded to the beta because the HD extender wasn't playing back recordings after I processed them with VideoReDo. The beta fixed this for all the stuff recorded with 6.3, but now the stuff recorded with 6.4 is not playing back on the HD extender after being processed with VideoReDo. The videos playback perfectly on PC based placeshifters and a Mac client. Greg |

I installed the beta yesterday as well as the timeline fix.
Recordings today on the hdrhomerun have problems. I recorded This Week this morning on ABC in hi-def and the timeline is broken. It plays but timeline seems to show it playing at 10x speed though its playing at normal speed. The show stops after several seconds. If I play the file outside of Sage, I have similar problems so its in the recording. I recorded Sat Nite Live last night no NBC in hi-def and it seems to be fine. Non-hidef recordings also seem to be fine. |

For me the problems are recordings made using my hauppauge dvb-s card. The same timeline issues stated by the above post. Videoredo seems to fix these.
The pvr350 recordings are all fine. |

Went from 6.3.10 to 6.4.2beta. Have been through the updated TSSplitter.ax's. Also tested the latest with date 13may. Nearly all gives same problems. Symptoms are that recordings played back later gives about 10x speed (like described by appelm above). Also when watching live TV it stutters in a strange way (probably because of timeline). Have also had a few times of SageTV service crashing.
One strange fact though. With the 13may TSSplitter.ax (who I have tested most), things seems ok to start with. It looks like this problem develops over time. But after 5-10 recordings, it always pops up. And then the problem stays there. If I stop/start the SageTV service on server, it seems to be stable again. I'm not a 100% sure about this. Just wanted to give feedback. For now I still use 6.4.2beta, but I've gone back to a TSSplitter.ax I got from support when using 6.3.10 release. It was the most stable I've had. Going to see if it can keep 6.4.2beta stable.

The audio would carry on normally but the playback would pause for a split second, sometimes a little longer, and then carry on for a few seconds before pausing again. If I stopped the sage service, it seemed to play back ok for a while. I updated the tssplitter last night to a newer version. I recorded 3 programs and they all played back fine, and I watched a live movie and that didn't have any stuttering issues. Unfortunately I'm away all week and won't be able to report back until the weekend. |

Well, the problem with my HDHR seems to be completely unrelated to this. After doing some testing and browsing the HDHR forums I've come to the conclusion that it's power supply is going bad. Basically, it works fine as long as I only use one of the tuners. As soon as I try to use the second tuner both stop working. I submitted a trouble ticket but I think I may just go to Radio Shack and buy a universal brick anyway. We'll see.

I am now seeing this behavior with the most up to date tssplitter.ax. I have actually never seen the 10x thing before, but last night I recorded LOST and BOSTON LEGAL (both ABC) and they both had problems that seemed to only affect the first half of the show. Comskip was skipping at the wrong times, etc. (something that I had not seen before). Can I go back to the tssplitter.ax from 6.3.10 but still use 6.4.2? What was suppose to get better is getting worse... BTW... I use an HDHR.
