It's a little early in testing. But it looks like the TSSplitter.ax in 6.4.3beta is serving my needs too. The timeline problems from 6.4.2beta do not seem to be present. I'll reserve my final judgement after a week of running. But I've done several test recordings, and I should have seen the problems already.

TSSplitter question
I hope this is posted in the correct place..
I am running Sage 6.4.3 (with SageMC). The video is comming in from a Motorolla Cable box via firewire. Most of the shows we record are HD. I am having problems with the comskip / FF REW operation. I see from the above posts that the new TSSplitter.ax seems to be helping some users with similar problems. Here are my questions 1) It seems this TSSplitter.ax file is associated with the capture not playback so is it even used when captureing via firewire ? Do i need to include it in the SageGraph Recorder graph somehow? 2) how can i tell if the one i am using is the latest? 3) Does anyone have a similar configuration working correctly and if so would they care to share the secret? Thanks in advance |

6.4.3 includes the latest TSSplitter, seems to have fixed all my timeline problems (so far!).
If you're having problems with this one it's probably best to submit a bug report so Sage can get to the bottom of it.

I tried that... the response was that there is no official support for firewire sagemc or comskip so they couldnt help.
Are you capturing via firewire or something else? |

See the sig, I don't use firewire, but timeline problems weren't just firewire-related. 6.4.3 seems to have fixed it for most, so perhaps yours are unrelated...
Not a lot of help, I know...

Just wanted to close the loop on my Question above. It seems that this thread
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35467 has my answers. The new DeMux has made the comskip jumps perfect on my recorded shows. Live comskipping has an issues but this is a great improvement for me. |
