Sony HD Camcorder Videos won't play w/6.4.2
Videos recorded from the Sony HD Camcorder have an extension of m2t. They are MPEG2 recordings that play with any MPEG2 player. I've always been able to play them with my Sage Media Extender up through server version 6.3.10. I upgraded to 6.4.2 this weekend and these videos no longer play on the extender.
I updated to the beta firmware upgrade for the extender but that didn't seem to help. I reverted back to 6.3.10 and they play fine. Anyone else encounter the same thing?

The server needs to reindex MPEG2 Transport Stream files in V6.4.2 so it does this in the background after it starts up. It might not have finished this by the time you played that file. That would definitely explain why it didn't work. I just tested a .m2t file from an HD camcorder and it played fine on the STX-HD100.
Try 6.4.2 again; but give it more time to index after it starts up (depending upon your lib size and your filesystem performance, this could take seconds to an hour or more) If you're still having issues, please file a bug report: http://sagetv.com/bugs.html

Thanks, Narflex. I've reinstalled 6.4.2 over an hour ago. On my laptop, with Placeshifter, I can play those m2t videos but on the Sage extender, still nothing. My Sage server is on 24/7 so I'll let it re-index while I'm away at work, and see what happens later. If still nothing on the extender, I'll file a bug report, per you suggestion.

For anyone else encountering this same issue, the 5/19/98 beta firmware upgrade fixes this problem.
Thanks,
