I have it running on Windows Home Server which is basically Server 2003. Did you install the XP drivers and uninstall and remove any other Hauppague tuners?

I have a Windows Server 2003 box which houses a 1.5TB Raid 5, does my email, and also is an ftp server. Its a fairly new box with high-end hardware. It has never run any hauppauge cards of any kind in the past. When I tried to install the HD-PVR it simply didn't accept the drivers. Running the driver program that came with it said the unit could not be found. Any ideas?

Make sure the HD-PVR is plugged directly into a USB port on the PC rather than a hub. If that is not the case, look in the device manager and see if there are any unknown devices in the device manager as well.

Ran HWClear and reinstalled, and that seemed to do the trick. Is anyone having trouble with the IR built into the HD-PVR and Server 2003? I'm getting th odd lockup with this combo.

any news on if this is working?

I'm setting up either a Windows Server or Linux Server for exclusive support with the HD-PVR and need full compatibility in either the Windows Server or Linux Server.

What's my best bet right now??

Is the IR blaster limitation fixed right now with Windows Server?

I have WHS with 2 HD-PVRs running fine. I had IR blaster working on one of them before quickly changing to firewire channel changing. No problems at all. arcsoft software works fine in 2003 for me too

It does not work with Win2k8 x64. Basic issue is x64. Haven't had copious amounts of free time to try 2k8.

Running perfectly fine on my Windows Server 2003. I have tried IR blaster and switched to Firewire for changing channels, both worked perfectly.

well you see, others are saying its not working within Windows Server 03 (within these forums, a guy said that it crashed every minute or so and IR blaster wasn't working).. and now your saying it is working perfectly fine.. was there a recent driver update that fixed the issue?

I'm just about to install Windows Server 2003.. is there anything specifically that you did to get this all working so smoothly? I really want to avoid the headache's if I can

I used the drivers that came on the CD, which was the same driver on the hauppauge site at the time. Some of the early reported crashes were due to overheating problems with the first batch of HD-PVRs, which has nothing to do with Windows 2003. I bought my HD-PVR after they released a revision which included an internal fan. So had no over heating problems whatsoever.

Mine's been running fine on Win2003 x32 with firewire channel changing since the day I got it. I was in the 2nd batch of the HDPVR preorders. I put my own near-silent fan in mine, so no heat issues to contribute to the party.
