HVR-1600 Digital Tuner - 0x80004005
Hey guys,
Ever since I upgraded to SageTV 6.3.x, my HVR-1600's Digital tuner has not worked correctly. I currently have updated to the SageTV 6.4.3 beta, but still not working right. Current HVR-1600 Driver: 1.62.26028 (latest beta from Hauppauge site). I'm selecting the Hauppauge WinTV 418 TS Capture, selecting the Digital Tuner, and it tries to load the preview and bombs with the following error: "There was a Capture Error in playback. Details: ERROR (-2,0x80004005): There was a problem using a SageTV component. Please reinstall the SageTV application." I would think upgrading to 6.4.3 would count as a re-install? Additional info: The Analog 418 Video Capture portion of the card works fine. Additionally, I have an AverMedia A180 in the same server and it tests out and functions fully. Any thoughts before I open a support ticket with Sage??

Fixed!
Alright, it took a while, but I figured out this issue. I'm documenting it here because I don't want anyone else to be in the dark if this ever happens to you
Troubleshooting steps: - Tried downgrading SageTV, noticed installer was failing to register psisdecd.dll. - Tried manually registering and was getting a hex error code. - Reinstalled Directx 9.0c which contains that DLL... no change - Attempted to install Server 2003 Service Pack 2 - FAILED with a permissions issue - Used: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873148 and chose Method 2. Still didn't fully fix the issue, but the log file generated showed me the Administrators group could no longer access the following registry keys: Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.AtscPsipParser\CLSID. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.AtscPsipParser\CurVer. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.AtscPsipParser.1\CLSID. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.ATSCTerrestrial\CLSID. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.ATSCTerrestrial.1\CLSID. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.CDvb\CLSID. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.CDvb.1\CLSID. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.DvbSiParser\CLSID. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.DvbSiParser\CurVer. Warning 5: Access is denied. Error querying security of machine\software\classes\Psisdecd.DvbSiParser.1\CLSID. - I used RegEdit and manually reset permissions on all of the above keys and was then able to see the data underneath them - Restarted Sage - still didn't work - Attempted to install SP2 again, SUCCESS - Rebooted, started SageTV - ALL IS WELL I think SP2 just reregisted the DLL, so it probably was not necessary. Anyway, hopefully this will help someone else out someday. I have *no idea* why those registry keys permissions would have changed.
