Does SageTV HD Media Extender Work With SD TV
I have 2 question about the Media Extenders.
FIrst, does the SageTV HD Media Extender work with SD TV programs recorded with Sage V6 as well as the HD stuff? Second, does the Hauppage MediaMVP work with Sage V6 with an Extender license? Thanks! Karen

1. Yes. Very well in fact. It is the future proof solution even if you don't record in HD yet.
2. Yes. Both the STX-HD100 and then MediaMVP use the same extender license.

Yes the extender works with SDTV. I've had mine since the first batch and until yesterday had NO HD recording capability. Works great on an SD (bedroom TV) as well as HD (living room TV). I don't use my MVP's any more so I can't say from personal experience on the latest versions but the transcoding options for the MVP are still present so I highly suspect that it will still work with an MVP. I had 6.2.10 on an MVP so version 6.2.10 definitely does.

One more thing.
I went to order the Sage HD Extender and noticed that it requires Sage Media Center V6 or later. I don't run Sage Media Center (I think). I am just running regular old Sage Server V6.3 on Windows XP. That means I can't use it, right? Karen
