6.4.4 - intermittent client connections...
After installing 6.4.4 I have had a couple times where neither my HD extender or placeshifter clients would not connect. With the placeshifter I get the same error box as if the firewall is blocking. With the HD extender, I see the startup screen, select the server and it gives a black screen.
I've filed a bug report with this same info. Anyone else seeing anything similar? |

Yes, I have to do a server reboot to be able to reconnect, but haven't identified a way to recreate the problem.

I'm seeing this running 6.4.4 with my 2 MVPs and my 1 HDX. Have to bounce the service.

I'm also seeing this. Running in service mode, I can go a few days (give or take - it seems to vary) and then suddenly neither my MVPs, HDX, or the placeshifter can connect. Restarting the service solves the problem, but it stinks to have to do that when something's recording. I'm running 6.4.4 as well, but it's been doing this for at least a few revisions. I don't recall when it started but I wasn't sure if it was something screwy with my system or if it was a SageTV problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SageTV when I updated to 6.4.4 in the hopes that it would fix it but it didn't change anything.

I've been having this problem for a while now as well. My wife is getting pretty fed up with it too. I want to buy a couple more extenders but don't want to compound the WAF issue any further.

Seems to be pretty common. Please submit a bug report on it... that seems to have fixecd it for me
![]() Since I updated back to 6.4.4 to help capture logs for the team, it has not happened again. |
