Downloading trial version

I have downloaded the trial version of sage TV on two different occassions from their website and each time I double click on it to install - i get an error tellng me there was a problem with the file, and I should re-download the file.

Now, I've downloaded it directly from that machine and downloaded it from another machine where it was burned to a CD...both times I got the same error even before the installation began.

Anyone know what the issue is or where I might find an uncorrupted file?

You downloaded it from another machine, did you try running it from there just to see it it loads? Maybe you have something (like a virus scanner) that is affecting the file on that one machine.

Strange... this happened to me last night. I figured I had corrupted my OS and replaced it with a ghosted backup image. I still suspect that mine was a corrupted OS and not corrupted install file, but it is a coincidence if so.

I downloaded it from my desktop today and began to install it. It seemed to work fine, but i transferred the downloaded file to the machine that I plan to run it on and got the same error...I dont understand why.

I'm running win2k on a via mini-itx M10000 w/ a PVR 350. I'm currently thinking about doing a reinstall of win2k. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

p.s. The machine isn't running any virus scanning software - just finished building the box, and haven't used it except to download updated drivers for the hardware.

Install (or re-install) Service Pack 4.

I had that exact same problem and this fixed it.
