Sage crashes on "Stop Playback"

I just setup a fresh install of WinXP and Sage 6.3.10 on a newly formatted PC and I'm having a crashing issue. About 33% of the time, when I select "Stop Playback" from the video options menu in the middle of playback, Sage crashes and pops up a standard Windows program crash message. (Do you want to submit this information to MS...)

As a side note, when I restart the program I seem to lose any settings I changed during the previous session. For instance, if I start Sage, import Comskip Playback, urn off the mouse icons and then Sage crashes via the Stop Playback problem, the import is gone and the mouse icons are back the next time I start the program. However, if I make the changes, manually shutdown Sage, then restart and experience a crash, the settings seem to stay fixed. I'd imagine this is because Sage doesn't actually save the properties file until you close it or something along those lines.

Any ideas on what might be causing this problem? As I said, it's a brand new OS and Sage install. I'm running the default STV and the only import I'm using is Comskip Playback.

I had a similar problem when using the decoder from the Elecard V4.5 Mpeg player. When I switched back to the 4.0 player, the problem went away. Don't know what decoder you're using, but you might consider trying a different one and see if it helps. Another one of the many strangenesses that seem to be associated with the entire Directshow filter graph nonsense.

Thanks. I got the nvidia decoder reinstalled and since switching to that it hasn't crashed again in about 10 attempts. Hopefully that fixed it.
