UI lost

Hi,

After watching a program for about an hours, I wanted to zap and... no UI. the top & bottom info areas are black.
I pressed the home key to go back to the main menu : black.
then I pressed the enter key and saw the channel preview in the top right corner but no interface. I pressed the enter key again and the program came back in full screen.

If I restart SageTV, everything comes back ok but for how long??

So it seems that only the interface hangs but I can use it 'blind' (not really easy when it's a new SW )

Does anybody experience the same?

Thanks

Ferdinand

L.I.S.

I get this when I doing anything with 3D Accel... like play a game! I would like to know if this is a fixable thing in the beta, or is turning off 3d accel the only option for this. It won't be a problem when I get it on my dedicated HTPC, but I have been known to play a game on it a time or two!! So we'll see...

Mike

Wild curiosity, but those of you having trouble with the UI and 3D accelleration, what kind of video card do you have?

i've had the same blanking problem whenever i switch resolutions (from 960x540 to 1920x540 for example) and reenter sage.

i use a radeon 7000 via dvi currently.

3d is not disabled but i'll try that tonight.

It does not seem to matter what card you have nvidia or ATI still have the same issue.

I get this with Remote Desktop. Whenever I connect and try to bring up Sage it will then be black until a restart - even when accessing it on the PC itself.

I use an ATI radeon 7000 and TV as secondary display (only possible with SageTV )
I'll try to disable 3D acceleration tonight.
but anyway, I'll submit this in a bug report.

3D acceleration is disabled and the response of the UI is better.
Let's see if it solves the problem...
