Question HD icon on NON HD recordings

I recently bought a HD receiver and hooked it into sage via svideo (i don't have hdpvr yet )

I've recorded a couple of shows from the HD channels, and Sage puts an HD icon on them. My question.... Does Sage "think" these are HD recordings because of the Guide Data, or are they really "HD" files (I can't immagine that SVIDEO can do better than 480p)?

Another observation/question... When I watch the shows on the HD extender, it does not expand the show to the full screen size. With the previous receiver (non HD), the HD extender would "fill" the tv with the picture.

Sage relies on the guide data to tell it when to use the HD icon.

I am sure Sage is marking the HD files based on what the guide states. Svideo can not do true HD. 480P is the best it can do. As for the fill, I believe the aspect ratio allowing you to set SD recordings as fill was fixed in the most recent beta firmware (released yesterday). Give that a try.
