About to Order PVR 350, any advice?

Well I am on the verge of ordering the PVR 350. I am strongly thinking of having it in the same machine as the PVR 250, with a PII350 and intel chipset, will there be a problme with this setup?

Unless your pvr 250 is a type 15, I think you are likely to encounter problems. Some people claim not to have problems but I have not been able to get a handle on what their hardware setup is. I have tried the 350 with type 16's 250 in two different computer's (different model motherboards) without success. The second system was build as a client just for the 350, I then found out that there is a bug in the released software that causes the 350 with TV-out enabled to hang the computer when it reaches the end of a show. This is supposed to be fixed in the current Beta.
Good Luck

Carlgar....

I have just realized I am every one in awhile seeing the "end of a show" bug...I can't find any info on it in the forum. Can you please point me in the right direction? Also, is the fix supposed to be out for sure this go around?

Thanks

The only forum mention of the problem was in my post "I have encountered 2 Serious problems with client ".

I then submitted it to customer support and after a exchange of E-mails received the following:
Quote:
Thanks for the feedback. You helped us track down a bug that we believed to exist only in Ver. 2. At this time I apologize that there's no solution we can offer you. This will be fixed when Ver. 2 comes out.
I then asked if it was fixed in the beta and received this:
Quote:
Yes the fix is in the version we released today, but you have to be a registered user to try out the beta version. Version 2 will be released this spring.
The version released today was the .12 one.

Please bug it. I have had more than my share of PVR 350 related problems, I would like the beta to be bug free by the time I get too it. I believe a lot of these problems only show up with a fast processor, I was using a 2.6 Ghz CPU.

I had a type error on my CPU speed, because you have a slower CPU, you only see it once in awile. I was seeing it about 100% of the time.
BTW: It also occurs at the end of a segment, if a show is broken up.
