Caller ID with 6.4.8

Can someone explain how to get the called ID plugin to work with Sage 6.4.8. I have had no trouble with the last several releases but with the new sage release I have not been able to get caller ID to work. When I go to detailed setup/advanced and try to import the application package "infopopup_import.STVi" it is not there. There is a folder for infopopup but it is empty now.


Never mind! I see now that Sage has added a manage functon in 6.4.8 to the Detailed Setup/ Advanced screen. It is in this screen that you now import the caller ID plugin feature.

How did the plugin work in 6.4? Do you have a hd100 or MVPs? Did it work with those? I haven't set mine up yet.

I use PC clients. I think that the procedure to install customizations has changed a little with 6.4.8 from what it had been even with the Beta versions. There is a manage tab on the advanced setup screen that you need to use now. Once you get into the manage screen I think you will figure it out. FYI, I don't think that you can use caller ID with the extenders. I don't know why,and I hope this gets fixed soon because I would like to have one. In my house called ID is important.

with 6.2 (??) I was able to get it to work with the MVP. Some people have tried to get it working with the HD100 but don't work (i think i read it works once but then you have to restart to make it work again).

Maybe things have changed the way it works with 6.4. Anyhow, I'll see if I can give it a try soon. Currently, trying to get my HDPVR working.

I got it working with the default SageTV3.xml but not SageMC, with SageMC it will only work untill you go into standby. But I don't think it's the HD100, I think it's SageMC. To get CID working in the default skin use the Manage imports as described above and load that ????.xml skin created by the import and it will work fine.
