Reviving Old Threads / Poor Forum Etiquette
I have a huge pet peev and it stems from being a moderator at other forums and having to read threads to verify content and that is People who revive old threads for no apparent reason.
I realize that many people join forums on a daily basis and so many of the threads they are visiting are "new" to them, but it is very poor etiquette to revive an old thread for no other reason than to pass your opinion. It is not a problem to revive an old thread if you are experiencing the same problem as in the thread and need help, but it is an entirely different situation to revive a thread just to give your opinion on a subject that has run its cource. Please, do us all a favor and if all you want to do is give your opinion and the thread is more than 2 weeks old then DON'T. We all end up reading the thread only to realize that once again someone wasn't paying attention to the age of the thread and does not understand Forum decorum. And for the love of Pete, we do not need you to use a lot of captials / bold / large test / excessive emoticons. Thank you for your time.
