Timing is everything. And based on some of the past track record you may want to do your Xmas shopping early this year.

Look! He gave himself 3 out of 5 circles=good

Editors_Good_3.gif LOL

I think he should get 0 to 1 circle for effort.

I hate when editors think they know what they are talking about and give wrong and incorrect information. This makes the confused more CONFUSED.

Those (techies) that can, do.

Those that can't, teach.

Those that can't teach are freelance writers.

1. What is it? It's not SageTV Client, but it's like Client. Obviously Placeshifter can be used as a tool to "stream SageTV to remote devices" as the podcast mentioned, but it's not the only option and remote can be defined as either inside or outside the LAN.

2. How is it licensed? The whole concurrent license model (which I think is a GREAT thing, BTW) seems to cause some people to stumble initially, particularly when you throw in the extenders or a true Client license.

Both of these questions are easily addressed, and I think anyone who has any interest at all in building their own PVR system can quickly figure it out with a couple of questions.

Yeah ... Always wondered why they just didn't call it "SageTV Remote Access Client" or "SageTV Anywhere" or something like that. Simple and clear always makes a difference educating people with a name.
