They finally announced it. They did a very nice job on this card, and I think this will be the card to get for PC HDTV, at least for the next few months. Software analog MPEG encoder though, so I'm not sure it'll integrate into Sage as a full function capture device.

Thanks,
Mike

HDTV WONDER offers the best advanced personal video recorder

That's funny, especially considering how horid their current MMC is.

Also I see no mention of QAM except in relation to the reciever, of course almost every other HDTV card also has a QAM capable reciever but no QAM.

Hopefully it will be more like the E-Home Wonder than the TV Wonder (shudder).

Crazy that they would make the analog NTSC full hardware encoding as well as the HDTV portion.

Only mention of QAM is:
"HDTV WONDER incorporates ATI’s own NXT2004™ VSB/QAM receiver designed to receive off-air DTV signals in a wide variety of challenging terrestrial signal reception environments. NXT2004 integrates features such as advanced multipath cancellation, tuner control and all-digital carrier recovery circuitry that eliminates the need for any other external components." -- from above link

I wish it was a low profile PCI card.
