I need some assistance. I have a file that I would like to store its location in the sage properties file. The file location of course is dynamic, on one box it is at this location on another it is at another location.

I was trying to make a textinput box so I can paste the correct location into the STV or type it in with my keyboard hit enter and it save it to the sage.properties file.

Does anyone have some example code on how I could do that?

You should be able to link to the file browser widget(s) that the stock UI does. I believe I do that in the IVL STV import, that might be a place to start.

You could use the directory browser dialogs to choose a location, like Stanger mentioned.

If you just want to type in the location, then search for "Get Alternate Movie Category Name" (w/o the quotes) for a basic text entry dialog where the text is saved to a property.

You could probably even copy the text from the clipboard -- search for getSystemClipboard & then see the Java docs for how to get text from the clipboard instead of copying to the clipboard like the STV does.
