Program data 7 days, conflict resolution only 3
Hi all,
A long time ago I increased schedule lookahead to 14 days. Recently I've noticed some odd things, so I dropped it down to 7 days and everything seems to be working OK as far as getting things scheduled. The problem I'm having now is that it appears to still only be looking 3 days out for conflicts. For instance yesterday morning there were no conflicts, now there's a conflict for Thursday and I did not change any of my manual or favorite recordings. Anyone have any suggestions on how to change how far the conflict resolution component looks ahead. I found the settings in the property file for the conflict resolution, but don't know what they mean so didn't want to start poking around. Thanks. |

You need to change a setting in the Sage.properties file, scheduling_lookahead.
The value for scheduling_lookahead is in milliseconds. I have mine set to 604800000, which is 7 days. By default, it is set to 3 days. Make sure you shut down SageTV (and the SageTV service) when editing the Sage.properties file. 1 day = 86400000 ms 2 days = 172800000 ms 3 days = 259200000 ms 4 days = 345600000 ms 5 days = 432000000 ms 6 days = 518400000 ms 7 days = 604800000 ms 8 days = 691200000 ms 9 days = 777600000 ms 10 days = 864000000 ms 11 days = 950400000 ms 12 days = 1036800000 ms 13 days = 1123200000 ms 14 days = 1209600000 ms Hope that helps. |

Also keep in mind there is a performance impact on bumping this up. And Sage doesn't recommend using anything but the default value.
