Refresh Import Media

Does anyone know the name of the process under Sage Linux that refreshes the imported media? I would like to get an idea of how long the process takes.. Right now if I add media and refresh, I just leave sage for 5-10 minutes, come back and then the new media is there.. I would like to look at the running processes to see how long it takes but I'm not sure of the process name. Thanks.

There isn't a process that you can HUP to tell sage to refresh media. You can can refresh media from the options menu of the Media menus, or use "Refresh Media" link on the front page of neilm's webserver, or if you have install the Remote Sage TV apis, then you can call the Refersh Media rest api.

Hope these solutions help.

I believe the media are refreshed by a separate thread inside of Sages Java process. There might be message in the log when you turn on the debug which will tell you when the refresh is done.

Sorry rrambo, i misread your earlier post.... if you want to know how long it takes, then your can refresh the imported media, and tell sage to wait until it's done. I think the UI has an option for that... the other option is to use the Rest APIs and call

Code:
time wget http://mediaserver:8080/sagex/rpcXml/Global/RunLibraryImportScan/true
The 'true' argument tells sage not to return until it's done it's refresh, as per the SageTV Javadoc for RunLibraryImportScan.
