Any new options for getting satellite tuners w/ card support for SageTV?

Long ago I was looking all over for a hardware solution to get encrypted/subscriber based satellite TV into my computer and on SageTV bypassing the receiver I currently use.

The only solutions I found were products available only to Europe.

Anyone know about new solutions for this available to the US ?

I use satellite to receive a particular foreign TV service which I have a subscriber card to watch. It's just two channels on a transponder. It's nothing to do with one of the major satellite providers like DirecTV or Dish.

These two channels do post XMLTV data on their programming, so if I were to find a hardware solution to get SageTV to control the tuning then it would be great as I would also be able to get the EPG data. Right now SageTV knows nothing about those channels so all I get are 2 hour blocks of "No Data". Makes it impossible to schedule recording or see what's coming up.

Do they use DVB? Standard DVB? If so you should be able to use the european DVB-S cards and their CAM modules.

Yes, they do use DVB. But how can I get those European cards? Last time I tried I could not find anything unless I paid big bucks to order Internationally - is that the price I have to pay to get this?

I think cyberestore carries DVB-S cards, though I'm not sure about the CAM modules, I suppose those might be tougher to find.

cool, thanks for the tips. Yeah I dont see a card on their web site that supports the smart card as input to decrypt subscriber based channels but I emailed them to see if they can get me one.
