HDHomeRun not found
I can't seem to figure out how to have my HDHomerun show up in SageTV.
The HDHome run works fine by itself (one tuner is pulling off the antenna and the other off the unencrypted cable line) Howeve, when I try to add a source in Sage only my single analog Tuner shows up. Sage recognized the HDHR a few months ago but I had stability problems when tuning the digital channels so I removed the HDHR in the setup menu. I recently updated the firmware on the HDHR and wanted to try it out again in Sage but now Sage wont recognize the HDHR, instead only seeing the analog tuner in my PC. I have tried rolling back to the old firmware with no success. I tried updating Sage also with no success. I am not sure what else in the PC has changed since the HDHR used to work since it has been a few months. Any thoughts? Thanks, NB Sage 6.4.8.184 HDHR 20081002 |

You might want to check your HDHomeRun power supply. I purchased my HDHomeRun quite awhile after the power supply stories came out on the forum. I assumed that the power supply problem reported in the forum was fixed, but it wasn't.
My HDHomeRun worked fine for many months, until the HDHomeRun unit could not be recognized by the computer. The LED on the bad power supply was flashing. You can sign up to receive a free replacement power supply on the Silicon Dust HDHomeRun web site. In my case, the new power supply fixed the problem after waiting about three days for the new HDHomeRun power supply to arrive in the mail. Dave |

issue resolved
Thanks to all!
Editing the Sage.properties file worked great. Unfortunately, my original stability issues with the HDHR are still there as occasionally selecting a digital channel will crash Sage. I will have to work on that issue later. My power supply was also dead and I received my replacement yesterday. Again, thanks for the help, NB |
