I've noticed that people have their main menu horizontal bar stretch from edge-to-edge on the screen. I can't seem to do that, with space on either side of the menu bar. I've tried using the htext->scale menu width, but that only takes it so far, leaving space on either edge. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ben

Did anyone ever figure this problem out? I installed SageMC 6.3.8-a and am now trying to load the nBlue theme. First of all, I think the installation instructions are wrong. I assume I'm suppose to unzip it into the SageMC Themes folder, not the SageTV root folder. Before moving it to the right spot it wouldn't appear in my themes list.

And now I'm just getting the black background when I select nBlue. I tried restarting the service and turning off and back on the extender.

Any ideas?

It should not go in the Themes folder. I just checked and there IS a problem with the zip file that I just corrected - it has an extra level of directories in it. Now if you unzip in Program Files\SageTV\SageTV it should put everything in the right place....

btl,

I have just installed this on my linux server for my extenders. I am attaching an updated menu.xml if you wanted to include it for Linux and Mac users.

Also, my Program guide is not showing any guide colors. This is my first time using SageMC since the new theme engine was introduced (a long time) and I am uncertain where to begin troubleshooting.

Any help is appreciated.

The EPG coloring is controlled with a setting in SageMC -> Main -> Screen Specific Options -> EPG

The Setting you are looking for is "Guide Coloring Method" - set it to "Property"

Thanks for the linux .menu file. I'll put it in with the next release.

Ahh, OK. I see what happened. I didn't think to look inside the nBlue folder. I didn't realize themes installed things in multiple directories. Thanks.

This is my first time trying out a non-standard SageMC theme. Before I starting playing with too much, can you tell me what files I need to backup so I can revert back to my current setup? It seems like its very easy to change between themes, but I'm guessing its not so easy to get back from changing the menu and layout files.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to get that horizontal menu on the main page like everyone else has. I've been playing with it for 2 hours with no luck still.

Do an alt-O or the Option button on your remote at the main screen. Choose the lower button in the dialog that appears. (Can't remeber what it's called) You're going to Import All and choose the nBlue full I believe.

Are you sure you're using the most recent version of SageMC, nBlue uses some things that are very recent additions.

Go to settings.
Select SageMC
Highlight "Main" and select "Global UI Options"
Highlight Display and navigate right and scroll down to "Background Image"
Browse/select the file you want to use for background.

The steps above work for me, so I'm a bit stumped.
If you go back to settings, do you see the name of the new background file you selected?
(I'm wondering if something isn't being saved.)
The only other thing that comes to mind, and I'm not trying to be mean, but are you sure the new file actually has a different image in it?

Mitch
First renamed Background.jpg to Background_4.jpg
then renamed Background_2.jpg to Background.jpg

No Joy - Background didnt change, lost sub background

Renamed Background.jpg to test.jpg
in SageMC settings changed to test.jpg

No Joy - background didnt change, no difference to sub

Checked SageMC settings, shows background as test.jpg
(all background files located in nBlue theme folder and came with the theme)
The origional background file is now a different filename and no longer have sub background (never did anything to that file)
