No audio from MKV with DTS

Hi all,
I'm playing a 720p MKV file with DTS and not getting any audio.
I'm hooking the audio out to my TV and just have the RCA output to my stereo, I don't use or have a DTS decoder.

Is there any way I can set up the HD Media Extender to allow me to hear the audio on these files?
Or is there an app I can use to convert the audio, leaving the video quality in tact?

When I play them on the PC, they're fine.

Thanks!

The HD100 can not decode the DTS audio. One solution - which is what I do - is to convert the audio to AC3 and remux the .mkv file. See this thread at popcornhour: Popcorn Audio converter forum post.

There is also a way to do this using mkvmerge but the converter automates the process. It's actually pretty quick since it only converts the audio and doesn't touch the video.

In case you're interested look at this thread. Scroll down to spawns post (it's number 3). I have actually done most of my conversions using this method. After the conversion using gdsmux you will need to remux the file using mkvmerge or you will sometimes get errors in the file headers.
