ATI 650 clear QAM?

I switched over from BeyondTV to SageTV about six months ago and other than a few stability issues it has been working great.

I just saw that BeyondTV now supports ClearQAM on the ATI 650 Combo card under XP which I have, and I was wondering if someone could explain why SageTV is unable to support the 650 Combo tuner card?

Be very carefull about using the term ATI 650.

There are two versions, PCI and PCI-E. ANd it is there that the issue lies.

The PCI version is a hybrid, it will do EITHER analog or digital NOT Both.
The PCI-E version is a true dual tuner and has an analog and digital tuner that is Clear QAM capable.

I am using two of these in Vista Media Center giving me 4 tuners - 2 Digital and 2 Analog and it works great. I can record 4 channels at a time and watch a pre recorded or other media with no issues at all.

So take care to always mention if your card is a PCI or PCI-E(Express) version.

Now the question is does SageTV support the true dual tuner ATI 650 for both analog and Clear QAM for pulling it from the cable line.
