Detecting ripped DVDs (possible bug)

I'm using SageMC 6.3.8. I have the external media player enabled, but the external DVD player disabled. When I play a non-DVD video under SageMC, Zoomplayer is called up and correctly displays the video. However, when I play a ripped DVD in ts format, Zoomplayer is still called up, but it plays whatever video it last played and not the DVD.

Since the external DVD player is disabled, I would expect the ripped DVD to be played by Sage. As it stands, however, I can't get any access to the ripped DVDs since neither Zoomplayer nor Sage is playing them.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in identifying the ts files as DVD and therefore not triggering the external media player?

Thanks for any help.

Rick

if you set the external video player for normal videos to internal sage player does the problem persist

No, the problem goes away. Sage itself will then handle all of the videos normally. The only time the problem comes up is with the external media player and when it is activated in SageMC, the DVD rips with ts files consistently trigger the external media player (Sage goes to sleep normally and Zoomplayer starts up, but with the last video I watched and not the DVD).

Unhappy

This problem is continuing. I have upgraded to 6.3.8a but that has had no effect. In further experiments, I enabled Zoom Player as the external player for both videos and dvds. Both dvd rips and videos now play correctly, but actual dvd discs do not, they simply revert to the last video that Zoom Player played.

Is anyone else using external players with SageMC? If you are successfully using Zoom Player, what are your cmd files?

Any assistance with this would be appreciated.

Rick
