Problems for all 3 betas

I've installed all three betas. Unfortunately, I've got to persistent issues that have come up.

1) I occasionally get a lock-up caused by a 100% CPU spike.
2) The sound occasionally gets out of sync with the video.
3) Occasionally stuttering.

I've reformated the partition I've been using and I am using 64k clusters.

The combination of these three items are turning a once good experience slowly into a negative one. Before the beta hits happen, even going back to 1.4 didn't help.

Any ideas?

Items 1 and 3 may be related and are probably something you need to tweak on your machine. Unfortunately it could be anything . There are lots of tips in the forums though.

#2, what video and audio decoder are you using? This should only happen when using Elecard and DScaler with Double Refresh. If you are using any other decoders I would point back to the top paragraph.

Don't give up, a solution can be found

I'm certainly not giving up. I am running a P2.5g with 1 gig memory and several 200g drives. The partitions in question were all 64k. The CPU spike I'm sure is a beta issue. Normally, the processor is around 28% running with a PVR250 and the ATI 8500 DVD decoder, the Ravisent.

When it locks up, the CPU goes up.

I am using the integrated sound on my ASUS board. Bear in mind that this worked from the ATI MMC 8.5 from Snapstream to Sage 1.4 with no problems until the second beta.

Everything seems to be running fairly cooly @41c. I check the temperature whenever anything happens.
