				Multiple HD-PVRs

How many HD-PVRs do people have working together without problems. I want to add some more now that I have extenders and just want to know my limits.

EDIT: It's a lot of money to invest in multiples when your setup might disappoint you. I am very happy with the two of mine, but I feel guilty every time I post that.

I would add only one at a time. It's just easier to debug when you only introduce one new variable at a time.

So on that note, my next question would be..

If I were to use standard DirecTV recievers along with my main HD receiver, a) Whats the best tuner to use? b) How does it work? Like when I am watching my main 52" LCD, I dont want to be using the standard recievers as I feel it might look like crap. But if that tuner is already in use, wont it default to the next available? Is there a way to set it where my main theater room uses the HD receiver and all the rest of the clients use the other standard receivers? |

I don't think you can do that but one thing to keep in mind is that you can still just keep a HD set top box in your main theater room for watching live TV and use Sage just for PVRed stuff. Other than sports why bother watching live TV? And even then I prefer watching sports "near real-time" so that you can skip commercials, time-outs, etc. Its incredibly efficient as you can watch a 2.5 hour basketball or hockey game in 1 hour without missing any action.
