You rock, SB!

Sounds like it's working in v7 already, just needs a graphical update to match the new UI....

Shadeblue,

do you have an eta on v7?

I should get my win7 capatable modem by end of week. My current USB had no drivers and no generic drivers available.

No ETA yet, but I did post my first V7 plugin where I updated the PixelTest plugin for V7. This means that I have started the learning process on how to release a plugin under V7 and some of the changes that are necessary. So, that is something :-)

It really should not be too difficult, mostly updating the theme in the STVi and packaging up under the new V7 plugin infrastructure. Others have posted that they were able to get the existing version to work in V7, so you may want to start with that until the new one is available.

Thanks, SB

So I figured out it was CID capable. I found that the following command is what enabled it through hyperterminal at+vcid=1. The next step that I had trouble with was how do I make the modem see CID info without hyper terminal. The answer:
Download and install the following: http://ascendis.com/callerid/callerid.php You can tell it to repair the modem (this step enables the modem to receive CID. Once I utilized the trial version of the ascendis CID software to repair the modem, YAC started to receive CID info through the 3095.

.....

i hope this post can help a person decide on parts and save them some time setting this up.

Bill--

Many thanks...I was pulling out my hair trying to move my YAC server to be on a box with a Zoom 3095. This worked like a charm!

v7 issues

For you guys that got this to work in v7 did you do anything different than what is on the directions? I copied everything, added lines to sage.properties, imported service, started and no listener on the the default port.

I turned firewall off to make sure that wasnt it...still no love. Any ideas?

Well, I got it working in v7 over the weekend - once. And then it hasn't worked since then. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to tinker with it.

When it worked, the extender (HD100) was sitting still on the main menu. I honestly don't know if it was there any of the times since, when it has not worked (I know several times I was in the middle of watching a recording, and it did not interrupt).

My YAC is still working, as the caller ID log is accumulating. It's just not popping up.

I see this same issue. No popups. I just haven't had time to look into it. I know YAK is working, because the YAK screen will popup on the Sage server anytime a call comes in.

What type of configuration do you have? Standalone single SageTV server, or headless server with HD extenders?

You may want to try our the newly posted version of this plugin for SageTV V7, much easier to install and get running!

I just needed to say a very large thanks for posting this! I have been looking all over for a program to send the YAC information to different ports simultaneously. This program, found through a Google search, seemed to be impossible to find. Thank you so very much for making it available.

~With gratitude,
