Why can'th this be simple ... NEED HELP !!!
Hey all,
We needed more recording room on the DVR, so I copied over all of the current recording directory to a new drive, took out the old drive, intalled the new drive and fired the system back up. Absolutely nothing to do with the SageTV program (i.e. configuration files, etc.) was on that drive. Now when I start Sage, it wants to competely redo the configuration. What in the world happened, and how in the world do I get everything back? It seems to me that everything should still be there For the life of me I cannot see why changing a drive with the recordings on it would do this. Rob Hix |

First thing I'd check is to see if any drive letters changed as a result of the upgrade.

Thanks Greg,
I made sure of that before I started back up. Actually, I figured it out, and I feel really stupid. I had shut down the sage service and disabled it. So, when I brought the system back up, it did not restart. This was the problem. Once the service was restarted, everything was great. Rob Hix |
