Xcard crashes Sage 2.013 to desktop

Hi,
anyone have this problem? When I change the settings to use the Xcard as mpeg decoder, when I go back to the guide Sage crashes to the desktop, no errors, nothing, just onto the desktop.
I am wondering is it the PIP that is causing this problem?
Anyone got a similar experience? Will it be fixed?
Patrick

not with Xcard since I do not have one
but I have tried certain audio and video decoders that would make SageTV simply dissappear when I went to watch something
sometimes it was the render and others simply would not work and some gave errors
powerDVD strangest of all gave an active window crap
I hope SageTV will make all of the present decoders operate correctly with both VMR9 and overlay

PIP... picture in picture? On your TV? I'm either missing the reference or that can't have anything to do with it. If you mean something inside SageTV, please clarify, since at the moment, I don't know what PIP refers to. Oh, unless you mean the preview window?

Anyway... I have an xcard and do not have the crashing problem you describe. Have you installed the latest xcard drivers? (I think they came out in Dec, so you could very well have them installed already...) BTW: I have the renderer set to Default & 3D acceleration Disabled.

What I mean is the preview video which plays while the live guide is displayed. If you have the renderer set to default? I presume you still have the mpeg decoder set to Sigma?
What are the chances of the XCard supporting the OSD in Sage 2. Really sucks the way it works at present.

OK, so that _did_ finally dawn on me as I was writing & wondering what that was. I have the preview window turned off... I could try it when nothing important is about to record.

Edit -- Tried viewing a preview; it worked.

Yes.

I think we gave you fair warning on that one. There was a comment a long time ago, in the thread first saying that the code to show the OSD on the 350 was working, that it should also be possible to put the OSD on the xcard. However, there has never (to my knowledge) been any follow up to say whether it really was doable and, if so, when it would be available.

I've gotten to the point that I don't care anymore... since I see everything on the monitor close to the TV. (And, yes, I need a monitor since that PC is used for more than just SageTV -- it is also the family PC for kid's education software, etc.)

I see this too, I tried to use the mpeg decoders that came with my AccessDTV card and I see sage crash every time it starts up. I reported a bug on this but haven't heard anything back.
