Help! - Unique Menus, Guides & MC Folders

Is it possible to have each client/ media extender have it's own unique menus and or channels and or folder access?

I want to place an extender in my daughters room, but I want to restrict her access to settings & content.

Can someone point in the right direction please!!!

Let me try to simplify this question.

Is it even possible to have different channels listed on one client than another?

Absolutely. You can have different menus loaded on each extender if you want. One could have the default STV and another could have SageMC - each could be unique with different settings as well.

That is a little tougher. I think you can do this via a special customization on a single extender, but not sure how to do it. We'll see if anyone else can help answer this one better.

I'm not sure on extenders, I assume it works in a similar fashion to clients. I have my daughters channels restricted on the client in her room.

Set up the Favorite Channels import with custom categories stored on the server including a category that you are happy for her to have access to.

Copy the lists to the client you wish to restrict, then set the client to use a local list and restrict the channels to one category. All the settings for this are accessible from the Favorite channels setup menu and it is easier than it sounds.

Are you refereing to: Favorite Channel Lists by BobPhoenix? Does this work on version 6.x?

I will continue to research this technique and post back results...

Thanks...
