Client stutters from Zone Alarm on Server

Anyone else run Zone Alarm on their server & try to watch shows on the client? I'm finding that in v13, every time I play a recording on my client it stutters continuously. I did the usual things of trying out the other decoder/renderer/etc settings w/o any luck. Out of curiosity, I checked to see what the server was doing & found that its cpu usage was solid at 100% -- the latest Zone Alarm was being quite greedy, taking as much cpu time as it could. Shutting down ZA returned client playback back to normal. So...

I changed nothing on either PC when I installed v13 over v12, except to tell ZA that the new versions were allowed complete network access when it asked. (It notices they are new versions & asks whether network access should be allowed. The same thing happens at every SageTV beta update.) I upgraded ZA to the latest update, but that had no effect.

The v13 release notes mention some network changes. I'm not certain whether they would cause this, but at this point I don't know what else to 'blame'... it is as if SageTV is causing the ZA cop to go nuts and arrest everyone in sight, bringing them in for a full interrogation before allowing them to go on their way... and the client is complaiing... haltingly, but complaining nonetheless.

I have Zone Alarm on my server and I'm actually seeing an improvement with V13. I used to have stuttering on my wireless client if I didn't pause it for a few seconds first. Now, no stuttering at all.

jbrychka - Did you have to make any special ZA settings to get it to work? This is still occurring in v14 on my system.
