No Audio in Clone WARS on HD200

THis is a frustrating one...

I record video via the Server in the basement and the HD-PVR from a DirectTV H21-200. Works great, no real problems to speak off... until the 6.5.5 BETA. Strangely, the videos are still being recorded... and I can play them on the server CLIENT, AND the HD100 I have, with no problems. But when I play them via the HD200 with the most recent BETA firmware I can not hear the audio. I have it set to output audio/and Video via HDMI.

Here is the kicker... if I surf to the file location on the HD200 via Stand Alone mode, it plays flawlessly.

I am at a loss on how to further trouble shoot this one.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Or confirmation you have seen it too!

Try turning up the volume on the hd200. It may be that simple.

LOL! That would be funny.... I will give it a try tonight, although I might ask is the volume on the HD200 different in standalone versus server mode? Otherwise it might be something else...

Thanks for your support Jeff!

Yes, it is different in the two cases. That why I mentioned it.

Turning UP the volume on the HD200 while playing the video in Server Mode did nothing to let me hear it. I can still play the video via Stand Alone mode and it plays flawlessly. I did notice that in the detailed info for the file there is a difference between the file that will not play audio in server mode and another previously recorded one (which DOES play audio). The each say it is an Mpeg file TS 1080i, but the one that plays says (not home right now) something about the audio being AAC at 384 Hz (something like that) but the one that will not play does not show anything thing for audio.

Why does it play in stand alone and not in server mode? I tried the Default STVi... I blew away the properties file and let it start from scratch.

What else can I try? I watched the show, so that is not the issue...

I did notice that I did not have the encode in AAC selected in the Arcsoft Theatre software after I upgraded and since selecting it now see the AAC information in file details for videos recorded by sage TV.

I want to understand the behavior? And maybe it will help with fine tuning SageTV and the HD200?
