My HTPD has currently 2 Hauppauge 150 TV cards, and is receiving TV via cable. My HTPC has no problems recording 2 shows while I watch at same time a pre-recorded show via my extender. Works great.
I now want to switch to satellite, and am looking at same type of setup. I had it figured out 'till suddenly I realized that the PCI HD satellite cards I had selected does software decoding, not hardware. And I got such bad experiences with that in the past (too many missing frames and issues), I don't want to go there again. So does anybody know a HD PCI salellite card with hardware decoding? Supported by Sage of course ... :-) If so, I'll look at them to check out if they support Pay-TV (CAM) for European (TV-Vlaanderen in fact). PS: I already ordered the new Sage HD Extender, that's why these cards need to support HD. Thanks in advance for any feedback, Jan
