Any tricks to move thru the TV guide quickly?

I was setting my SageTV to record a something that was several days away...it was Sunday and I wanted to record something that came on the following Thursday.

I just kept moving forward thru the guide until I came to Thursday is there a way to skip days at a time quickly?

One thing is to search by name to schedule the recording.

The way to skip through the guide quickly is to use a mouse and use the arrows on either side of the date in the upper left to move forward or backwards a whole day.

If you are using a remote control, you can use Fast Forward ( >> ) that will move to the next screen , or use skip forward ( >>I ) which will move forward 24 hours.


You can also move backwards using Reverse ( << ) or Skip back ( I<< ) , and press "GUIDE" again to go back to today.

Press the number of days you wish to move forward then press the skip forward key. To move forward 4 days press 4 then skip forward.

BTW: things like this are often coverd in the PDF manual. The Program Guie section of chapter 3 lists the above-mentioned keystrokes & more.

You can also initiate a search by starting to enter text or numbers on most navigation menus, like the Main Menu.
